Airworthiness Directives; Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Helicopters

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is issuing a superseding emergency airworthiness directive (AD) for Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation helicopters, requiring inspections of intermediate gearboxes (IGBs) to detect a specific issue that could cause overheating and loss of control. The new directive supersedes an existing emergency AD and adds two additional part numbers of affected IGBs, along with a specific date for new or overhaul of the affected components.
