NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2009 Porsche 911 (997) Passenger Cars

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from Porsche to allow the importation of non-compliant 2009 Porsche 911 (997) passenger cars into the US, as they are substantially similar to US-certified models and can be easily modified to meet safety standards.
