DOE Announces Availability of Draft Evaluation for Reprocessing Vessels at West Valley Demonstration Project

The Department of Energy has released a draft evaluation indicating that certain tanks used in reprocessing spent nuclear fuel at the West Valley Demonstration Project in New York are not high-level radioactive waste, but rather waste incidental to reprocessing and can be managed as low-level waste.
