FERC Proposes Revisions to Electric Reliability Organization Definition of Bulk Electric System and Rules of Procedure

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is proposing to approve revisions to the definition of 'bulk electric system' developed by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), which removes regional discretion and establishes a bright-line threshold of 100 kV, along with new rules for adding or removing elements from the definition on a case-by-case basis.
