OCC Issues Final Rule to Implement Covered Savings Associations

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has issued a final rule to implement a new section of the Home Owners' Loan Act (HOLA), allowing certain federal savings associations to elect to operate as covered savings associations, which have the same rights and privileges as national banks.
