SEC Requires Brokers and Barter Exchanges to Report Substitute Payments and Furnish Statements

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a new rule requiring brokers and barter exchanges to report certain substitute payments and furnish statements to the agency, starting from a recently announced effective date.
