U.S. Customs and Border Protection Adopts Final Rule for African Growth and Opportunity Act Trade Benefits

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has adopted a final rule updating trade benefit provisions for sub-Saharan Africa under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which includes extending duty-free treatment to non-textile articles and textile and apparel articles, as well as clarifying statutory standards for preferential tariff treatment.
