Disclosures of Return Information Reflected on Returns to Officers and Employees of the Department of Commerce for Certain Statistical Purposes and Related Activities

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is issuing temporary regulations allowing the disclosure of certain tax return information to the US Census Bureau for the 2020 census, in response to a request from the US Secretary of Commerce. The regulations have no impact on taxpayers' tax liabilities.
