NMFS Extends Comment Period for California Eelgrass Mitigation Policy

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is extending the public comment period for the California Eelgrass Mitigation Policy (CEMP) by 60 days, from May 8, 2012, to July 7, 2012, to allow for additional public review and comment on the proposed policy, which aims to mitigate unavoidable impacts to eelgrass habitats in the Southwest Region.
