New Rule Proposal for Sea Turtle Conservation in U.S. Shrimp Fisheries

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is proposing to withdraw an alternative tow time restriction and require the use of turtle excluder devices (TEDs) in certain shrimp trawls to reduce sea turtle bycatch and mortality in the southeastern U.S. shrimp fisheries.
