NMFS Issues Final Rule for 2012 Pacific Whiting Fishery Under Magnuson-Stevens Act

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final rule for the 2012 Pacific whiting fishery, allocating 48,556 metric tons of Pacific whiting to tribal fisheries and establishing provisions for the non-tribal sector, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act and the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan.
