NMFS Closes Longline Category Southern Area Fishery for Large, Medium, and Giant Atlantic Bluefin Tuna
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has closed the incidental Longline category southern area fishery for large, medium, and giant Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) until the end of 2012, in an effort to prevent further overharvesting of the BFT subquota.
