US Patent and Trademark Office Revises Patent Practice Rules to Implement Preissuance Submissions by Third Parties Under Leahy-Smith America Invents Act
The US Patent and Trademark Office is updating its rules to allow third parties to submit relevant documents to the patent examination process, in line with the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act, which aims to improve the quality of issued patents.
