National Marine Fisheries Service Announces 90-Day Finding on Petition to Delist Green Turtle in Hawaii

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is initiating a status review of the green turtle, which was listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) in 1978, following a petition to identify the Hawaiian population as a Distinct Population Segment (DPS) and delist it. The review will examine the petition and gather scientific and commercial information to determine if the action is warranted.
