EPA Exempts Chemical Compound from Tolerance Requirement for Certain Crops
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of a specific chemical compound used as a UV stabilizer in certain insecticide formulations applied to various crops, including adzuki beans and sunflowers. This exemption was granted after a petition submitted by Ag-Chem Consulting on behalf of Caltex Inc. under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA).
