EPA Approves Minnesota's Limited Maintenance Plan for Twin Cities Area's Carbon Monoxide Air Quality
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a revised air quality implementation plan for the state of Minnesota, which aims to maintain the Twin Cities area's compliance with the national ambient air quality standard for carbon monoxide (CO). The plan, submitted by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), demonstrates the state's continued attainment of the CO standard, with levels below the one-hour and eight-hour limits of 35 ppm and 9 ppm, respectively.
