EPA Proposes One-Year Extension of 1997 8-Hour Ozone Attainment Date for Atlanta Area

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a one-year extension of the 1997 8-hour ozone moderate attainment date for the Atlanta, Georgia Area, which would extend the deadline from June 15, 2010, to June 15, 2011, following a request from the State of Georgia through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GA DNR) on June 9, 2010.
