EPA Grants Exemption to ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor for Hazardous Waste Disposal

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted an exemption to ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor, LLC, allowing the company to continue injecting hazardous waste into three Class I injection wells at its facility in Burns Harbor, Indiana, for at least 10,000 years, without risking contamination of underground drinking water sources.
