EPA Issues Draft NPDES General Permits for Massachusetts and New Hampshire Treatment Plants
The Director of the Office of Ecosystem Protection, EPA-New England, is making draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permits available for public comment, covering Publicly Owned Treatment Works Treatment Plants (POTW treatment plants) and Other Treatment Works Treating Domestic Sewage in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The permits, set to replace the expired 2010 version, outline requirements for facilities discharging to fresh and marine waters, and are open to minor and major facilities in both states.
