EPA Determines Carlsbad Energy Center Project Exempts from Clean Air Act Permit Program

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced that a proposed natural gas-fired power plant at the Encina Power Station in Carlsbad, California, is exempt from the Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permit program under the Clean Air Act (CAA). The exemption was granted on October 13, 2010.
