EPA Issues Finding on State Implementation Plans for Greenhouse Gas Emissions

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that the state implementation plans (SIP) of 13 states, covering 15 programs, are insufficient to meet Clean Air Act requirements due to the lack of greenhouse gas emissions regulations, prompting the agency to issue a call for each state to revise its plan and submit a revised plan by varying deadlines between December 22, 2010, and December 1, 2011.
