Coast Guard Proposes Permanent Safety Zone for Military Munitions Recovery in Raritan River

The U.S. Coast Guard plans to create a permanent no-entry zone in the Raritan River upstream of the Perth Amboy Railroad Bridge to ensure public safety during the removal of underwater explosive hazards. Unauthorized vessels or individuals will be barred from entering the area until the explosives are safely detonated or removed.
