US Department of Justice Lodges Proposed Consent Decree for Environmental Cleanup at Cooper Drum Company Superfund Site

The US Department of Justice has filed a proposed Consent Decree with the US District Court for the Central District of California to address environmental contamination at the Cooper Drum Company Superfund Site in Los Angeles County, California, following a lawsuit under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) against 18 defendants, including major corporations such as Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and ExxonMobil Oil Corporation.
