DEA Schedules Thiafentanil for Possible Placement in Schedule II of Controlled Substances Act

The Drug Enforcement Administration is considering adding thiafentanil, a potent opioid, to Schedule II of the Controlled Substances Act, following a revision to the law by the Improving Regulatory Transparency for New Medical Therapies Act, signed into law on November 25, 2015.
