DEA to Temporarily Schedule Opioids from Kratom for Public Safety

The Drug Enforcement Administration is issuing a notice to temporarily place mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, the primary active compounds of kratom, into Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act due to concerns over public safety.
