Medicare Program; Revisions to the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Suppliers Safeguards

The proposed rule aims to revise the Medicare Program's Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Suppliers Safeguards by removing the definition of direct solicitation, allowing licensed agents to contract on behalf of DMEPOS suppliers, and modifying state licensing requirements. The changes would simplify the process for DMEPOS suppliers, including those participating in the competitive bidding program.
