U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Reclassifies Broad-Snouted Caiman in Argentina, Lists Second Segment as Endangered
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has reclassified the broad-snouted caiman in Argentina from endangered to threatened under the Endangered Species Act, while maintaining a second segment in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay as endangered. This change is based on improved management of the species in Argentina, which no longer meets the definition of endangered.
