FAA Issues Special Conditions for Modified Bell Helicopter Model 206B and 206L Series

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued special conditions for the modification of Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited model 206B and 206L series helicopters to install a Hoh Aeronautics, Inc. Autopilot/Stabilization Augmentation System (AP/SAS), which has potential failure conditions with more severe adverse consequences than existing regulations. The special conditions aim to ensure the failures and their effects are sufficiently analyzed and contained.
