Boeing Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for DC-9-81, -82, -83, -87, and MD-88 Airplanes

The Boeing Company is proposing a new airworthiness directive to inspect and repair the leading edge structure of the vertical stabilizer on select DC-9-81, -82, -83, -87, and MD-88 airplanes to prevent cracking damage that could lead to loss of the vertical stabilizer.
