FAA Requests Public Comment on Proposed Letter of Interpretation for Maintenance Personnel

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking public comment on a proposed letter of interpretation that would rescind a previous letter regarding the definition of 'duty' for maintenance personnel and the application of rest provisions under 14 CFR 121.377. The proposal was in response to a request from the Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) to reconsider a 2010 letter of interpretation issued by the FAA.
