US Department of Agriculture Adopts New Assessment Rate for Processed Pears Grown in Oregon and Washington

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for Processed Pear Committee from $7.73 to $7.00 per ton of summer/fall processed pears, effective for the 2012-2013 and subsequent fiscal periods, due to a decrease in the promotion budget for that period.
