USDA Increases Assessment Rate for Fresh Pears Grown in Oregon and Washington

The US Department of Agriculture has modified the assessment rate for the Fresh Pear Committee, increasing it from $0.366 to $0.449 per standard box of summer/fall pears and decreasing it from $0.471 to $0.449 per standard box of fresh winter pears, effective for the 2012-2013 fiscal period and beyond.
