U.S. Department of Agriculture Releases Supplemental Final Environmental Impact Statement for Healy Power Plant Unit 2 Restart

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service has released a Supplemental Final Environmental Impact Statement for the restart of Healy Power Plant's Unit 2 in Alaska, which was previously shut down in 1999. The project, which involves the construction of a 50 MW coal-fired steam generator, was initially funded by the Department of Energy and the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority.
