DOE Proposes Broadened Scope for Hawai'i Clean Energy PEIS

The US Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to expand the scope of its environmental impact statement (PEIS) for the Hawai'i Clean Energy Program, which aims to meet 70% of the state's energy needs by 2030 through energy efficiency and renewable energy. The revised PEIS will analyze various clean energy categories, including energy efficiency, distributed renewables, and utility-scale renewables.
