U.S. Department of Labor Issues Final Rule Implementing Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

The U.S. Department of Labor has published a final rule to implement Section 188 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which requires the Department to issue regulations no later than one year after the Act's enactment, as mandated by Congress. The final rule mirrors the 1999 regulations for Section 188 of the Workforce Investment Act, with only technical revisions to conform to the new WIOA.
