Minimum Wage for Contractors to Increase to $10.10 per Hour on January 1, 2016

The U.S. Department of Labor is announcing a new minimum wage rate for contractors performing work on or in connection with federal contracts, effective January 1, 2016. This rate is part of Executive Order 13658, signed by President Barack Obama in 2014, which raised the hourly minimum wage for contractors to $10.10 per hour, with annual adjustments determined by the Secretary of Labor.
