USPTO to Update Patent Rules and Reexamination Fees

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is updating its rules to implement the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act's supplemental examination provisions, allowing patent owners to request additional review of their patents. The USPTO is also adjusting reexamination fees to better reflect the costs of the process.
