Notice of Public Roundtable on Genetic Diagnostic Testing

The United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") is interested in gathering additional information on independent second opinion genetic diagnostic testing for purposes of preparing a report on the subject as required by the America Invents Act ("AIA" or "Act"). To assist in gathering this information, the USPTO invites the public to attend a roundtable focused on genetic diagnostic testing. Public Roundtable: The USPTO will hold a public roundtable in support of the genetic testing study. The roundtable will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ending at 4:00 p.m. (EST) in Alexandria, Virginia. Those wishing to share commentary at the roundtable must request an opportunity to do so in writing no later than December 20, 2012. The request must include the following: (1) The name of the person wishing to share commentary; (2) the person's contact information (telephone number and email address); (3) the organization(s) the person represents, if any; and (4) an indication of the amount of time requested for the commentary. Takes of Marine Mammals Incidental to Specified Activities; Taking Marine Mammals Incidental to the City and Borough of Juneau's Seawalk Extension Project, Juneau, Alaska

NMFS has received a request from the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) for authorization to take marine mammals incidental to the Seawalk Extension Project in Juneau, Alaska (AK). Pursuant to the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), NMFS is requesting comments on its proposal to issue an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to incidentally take marine mammals during the specified activities. NMFS is also requesting comments on a possible one-time, 1-year renewal that could be issued under certain circumstances and if all requirements are met, as described in Request for Public Comments at the end of this notice. NMFS will consider public comments prior to making any final decision on the issuance of the requested MMPA authorization and agency responses will be summarized in the final notice of our decision.

Welded Stainless Steel Pressure Pipe From the Socialist Republic of Vietnam: Preliminary Results of and Intent To Rescind, in Part, Antidumping Duty Administrative Review; 2024-2025

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) preliminarily determines that sales of welded stainless steel pressure pipe (stainless pressure pipe) from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam) were made at less than normal value (NV) during the period of review (POR) July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. Additionally, Commerce intends to preliminarily rescind the review, in part, with respect to seven companies. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results of review.

Fisheries of the Exclusive Economic Zone Off Alaska; Reallocation of Pacific Cod in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

NMFS is reallocating the projected unused amounts of Pacific cod from catcher vessels using trawl gear to catcher vessels less than 60 feet (18.3 m) length overall (LOA) using hook-and-line or pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI). This action is necessary to allow the 2026 total allowable catch (TAC) of Pacific cod in the BSAI to be harvested.
