Coast Guard Announces Public Meeting to Receive Comments on Proposed Security Zone for Escorted Vessels in Ohio Valley Zone

The U.S. Coast Guard is holding a public meeting to gather feedback on a proposed rulemaking that would establish fixed and moving security zones around High Capacity Passenger Vessels and vessels carrying Certain Dangerous Cargo in the navigable waters of the Captain of the Port Ohio Valley Zone, aimed at preventing potential terrorist acts and enhancing public and maritime safety and security.
