Coast Guard Proposes 500-Meter Safety Zone Around KULLUK MODU in Beaufort Sea

The US Coast Guard proposes a 500-meter safety zone around the KULLUK Outer Continental Shelf Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) in the Beaufort Sea, Alaska, from July 1, 2012, to October 31, 2012, to protect the MODU from vessels operating outside normal shipping channels and reduce the risk of oil spills and natural gas releases.
